Terms of Service

Last updated: August 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Helord Studios S.R.L. (CUI 48354541), a company registered in Ploiești, Romania ("Trainr," "we," "us," or "our"), which operates the Trainr mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

The Service is available exclusively to persons aged 18 or over. By creating an account or confirming your age in the app, you declare that you are at least 18 years old. Providing false information regarding your age constitutes a material breach of these Terms; responsibility for a false declaration rests with the person making it, and Trainr may suspend or terminate accounts on this basis. You need an account (email or supported sign-in providers) to use most features. You are responsible for your login credentials and for the activity on your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

2. What Trainr is — and what it is not

Trainr is a consumer wellness and fitness tool. It is not a medical device, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease or health condition. Trainr does not provide medical advice, and nothing in the Service is a substitute for professional medical judgment.

Body measurements, body-fat and body-composition figures, 3D meshes, and the calories and macronutrients read from meals are estimates produced by automated models from photos and the information you provide. They are approximate, may be inaccurate, and are provided for general informational and self-tracking purposes only. Do not rely on them for any medical, diagnostic, or clinical decision.

Always seek the advice of a physician or other qualified health professional before making significant changes to your diet, exercise, fasting, or health routine, and with any questions about a medical condition. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you saw in Trainr. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

3. Care Team & professional features

Trainr lets you connect ("link") with an independent professional you choose — such as a dietician, nutritionist, or personal trainer — and share the data you record with them. These features work as follows:

  • Sharing only begins after you enter a professional's link code and give explicit, affirmative consent. You choose to share; nothing is shared automatically.
  • You can withdraw consent and revoke a professional's access at any time in the app. Revocation takes effect immediately for future access.
  • Professionals are independent third parties, not employees or agents of Trainr. They — not Trainr — are solely responsible for reviewing your data and for any plan, guidance, or advice they give you. Trainr transmits and displays information; it does not interpret your data or endorse any professional or their advice.
  • Diet plans authored by a professional are shown to you exactly as they wrote them. Trainr does not modify them or generate its own guidance from your health information.
  • Verification that an account is a genuine professional is a basic administrative check, not a certification, endorsement, or guarantee of any professional's qualifications, licensure, or competence. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a professional is appropriate for you.

Trainr is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any relationship, agreement, or advice between you and a professional.

4. Health information you provide

You may choose to add health-related information, including uploading lab or blood-test reports, for your own records or to share with a professional you have linked. Trainr stores and displays these documents; it does not read, evaluate, flag, or interpret their values, and it does not use them to generate meal plans or other guidance. Only upload documents that relate to you, or that you are authorized to upload and share. Any interpretation of a lab report is for you and your professional.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Trainr offers a free tier (your first 3D body scan and mesh, meal logging, and a starting allowance of AI meal analyses). Trainr Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, sold and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that unlocks your full measurements, body-fat tracking, unlimited AI meal analysis, and progress comparison. If you work with a linked health or fitness professional, their monthly plan (Trainr Pro) is billed by Trainr through our payment provider, Stripe, as a person-to-person service.

  • Trainr Plus is billed monthly or annually following any free trial. The current price is shown in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in Apple ID → Subscriptions (App Store settings).
  • For App Store purchases, payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms — refund requests go to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). For Google Play purchases, they are handled by Google under the Google Play Terms — refund requests go to Google (support.google.com/googleplay). Trainr does not process store payments and cannot issue store refunds directly.

5a. Professional plans & refund policy

When your linked professional offers their program through Trainr, you pay one monthly price shown before checkout. It covers their ongoing service and full Trainr Pro app access, and is charged by Trainr via Stripe.

  • Cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then and are not charged again. Removing your professional from your Care Team also stops the plan from renewing.
  • Partial periods. Because the professional's service and app access are provided immediately and continuously, we do not refund partial or unused periods, except where required by law.
  • Billing errors. Duplicate, mistaken, or unauthorized charges are refunded in full — contact support@trainr.club within 14 days of the charge and we will investigate promptly.
  • Service problems. If a paid plan was materially unavailable due to a fault on our side, contact support and we will remedy it with a credit or refund at our discretion.
  • EU/UK withdrawal right. By starting the plan you request immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that, once fully performed for the billing period, the statutory withdrawal right no longer applies to that period. Non-waivable statutory rights under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

5b. Professional commissions & payout timing

Where Trainr owes a professional, organization, or partner a commission or service payment (referral commissions, direct-tariff earnings, partner-program commissions), the following timing applies:

  • Each amount accrues when the underlying charge is reported to Trainr by the payment platform (App Store, Google Play, or Stripe) and is then held for a 30-day refund window.
  • Cleared balances are transferred via Stripe in the monthly payout run on the 1st of each month, subject to the $50 minimum (smaller balances roll forward and are flushed at least once a year) and to completed payout onboarding (Stripe account and billing-entity details).
  • Outer deadline: an amount is paid out at the latest by the beginning of the second calendar month after the underlying charge — and in any event no later than 30 days after Trainr has actually received the corresponding funds from the platform, whichever is later. Example: a subscription charged in August clears its refund hold in September and is paid on October 1, which is approximately when Apple itself remits August's proceeds to Trainr.
  • Amounts subsequently refunded or charged back by the platform are reversed or deducted from future balances, per section 5a and the applicable program terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and to provide accurate information. You agree not to: upload another person's data without authorization; attempt to access other users' data; reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service; submit automated or falsified inputs; or use the Service in any way that infringes others' rights or applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Service availability & third-party data

We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, and the Service may depend on third-party systems (for example Apple HealthKit or our scanning provider) whose availability we do not control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any estimate, measurement, or output is accurate or complete. Your use of the Service and any reliance on its outputs is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trainr and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, or from any advice or action of a professional you connect with. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Your data

You own the data you create in Trainr. Our handling of your personal and health data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You can export or delete your data as described there and in the app.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in the app) before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and, where applicable, the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence. The courts of Romania have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory right you may have to bring proceedings in your country of residence. Questions about these Terms: support@trainr.club.
