FAQ
Clarity on how we operate.
Trainr measures instead of guessing. Two photos give you a 3D model of your body with body fat and ten measurements, meals are read from a photo or a sentence, and your phone's camera counts your reps. You see real change in centimetres, not streaks and badges. Friend challenges are there when you want a push, and everything else stays private.
No. Trainr builds your 3D body model from just two photos, logs meals from a photo or a description, and counts reps with your phone's camera. If you use Apple Health, Trainr can sync your weight, body composition and activity to keep everything in one place.
Your first scan places your body fat and your waist-to-height ratio on published reference ranges: the American Council on Exercise body-fat categories and the waist-to-height boundaries used in health research (keep your waist under half your height). After that, Trainr compares you with yourself, scan by scan.
Absolutely. We encrypt your data in transit and at rest, and we never sell it to third parties, advertising networks, or health-insurance conglomerates. Your data is yours — you can export or delete it anytime. See our Privacy Policy for the service providers that help us run Trainr.
Yes. Within the app settings, you can export your data as a file, covering your history — scan measurements, nutrition logs, and body-composition tracking.
Yes — with the Care Team feature. You can link a dietician or personal trainer with a code and choose to share your meals, body measurements, and fasting. Nothing is shared until you give explicit consent, and you can revoke access at any time. They can send you diet plans, shown exactly as they wrote them.
No. Trainr is a wellness and fitness tool. Its body-composition figures and meal estimates are for tracking, not diagnosis, and Trainr does not provide medical advice. Any guidance from a professional you link with is authored by them — Trainr transmits and displays it.
Prop your phone up so it can see you, pick a move and start. Trainr follows your body with the camera, counts every push-up, squat or lunge and times holds like planks and yoga poses. It all runs on your phone; the video is never recorded or uploaded.
Pick a move and a target, like 20 push-ups in 24 hours, and send it to a friend with a link or straight to someone on your friends list. Their camera counts the reps. Your friends list shows each friend's record with you: challenges won and lost. Only your first name and the counts are shared.
Yes. Trainr is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android, with the same scan, meals, Move and friend challenges. It also fills the big screen on foldables and large phones.
Once a week. Bodies change slowly, and a weekly scan in similar light and clothing shows real trends instead of daily noise. Trainr reminds you on your scan day and shows you what changed since last time.
